Nice way to speed up SI

I have been able to dramatically speed up SI by using Process Lasso by Bitsum.com:

During long synching operations I set "system" and "SI" process to "high" and assign different cores in "CPU affinity" to them. Then I keep SI minimized to not slow it down by screen refreshes. Just did several 100 GB jobs like this and it worked like a charm.
