It's OK ... but as a new user I don't understand
Well, it should work just as before
And I don't see the
exclude button (to the right of filter field)

Just as I described, you can combine include\exclude filters in single field by using this syntax:
*.doc ! temp*
This will include all .doc files except those starting with "temp".
Special Exclude button has red cross over blue paper sheets, just to the right of mask field.
I recommend you to get old 2.x version and have a quick look into help file - it covers work with file mask and general Synchronize It! concept which didnt change much in new version.

I understand the syntax
*.doc ! temp*
(thanks for your explanations)
...
But I'm VERY sorry but I'm not sure we are talking about the same icon . I see a blue sheet with a red cross on it ... but when I've the mouse over it , the "alt" text is "Show deleted files only" .. no matter with "Special exclude button".

My version is 1.0.1160 under Windows XP Pro

BTW ... I will install the older version to make a roundtrip of it

Best regards

OK I've found the icon you mentionned... it is not in the tool bar but in the window opening when clicking in the icon "show start dialog" (first icon on the left in the tool bar) ...
There I find an empty field which you call the "mask field"... and an "exclude filters" icon ... just on its right.

Sorry again for this kind of basic comment.. but I'm not fluent in english and I'm very new to this software *

*Maybe you should create a "very beginner" section in this forum ;)

Best regards
