Comparing password protected PDFs

Post by Ro Ablate »

I often receive PDF documents that are detailed specifications.
When a new version arrives, I need to quick review what has changed from the previous copy I have reviewed.
I, of course, reach for CompareIt!

The problem is when someone considers the contents sensitive, and password protects the PDF.

Your current implementation (v4.1) has no user interface (GUI or command line) that I have found for providing a password to the DLL that does the conversion.

A cursory Google search leads me to believe there might be support for passwords in the conversion DLL you are actually using.

We are using commercial library in fact, I will ask them about password support. If you have other pdf-2-text conversion tool as exe, you can use it with CompareIt.

I know. I saw the vendor's name.
I think they do - I certainly hope they do.
