Thank you, for making the extra effort to look at this matter. It is a capability that two other compare programs don't have that I have used.
I have used search in another program that has the ability to ignore case and diacritics, so I am sure you will get it fixed in time. I do understand that not all unicode have the weighting for these attributes, that can be ignored, but that would make no sense anyway.

Hi Igor, do you have any progress on this feature?

Well, you can check this. It's better, but not ideal yet. Now accents are ignored when case is ignored. I will add new option later.

Hi Igor, sorry but that build 2199 just crashes. Do i need to add anything to a config file first?

When I just put the binary on the desktop and ran it, it worked ok

Also noticed that even though I had restored the ini file from backup, Compare it! did not read my registration code, and so disabled features.

no, additional config is not required. But it's using some system functions, maybe the problem is some compatibility issues. Are you running Win7?

Hi,
No I am running Vista 32 bit. I have never encountered any issues when upgrading the beta files previously.

Hi Igor, if I delete the config file and then run Compare it! it works fine, but if I check the option to ignore case the program crashes on rescan of the file. So it is most certainly an issue with the settings that are in the configuration file with respect to ignoring case.

OK, thanks, I will try to check what could be a reason.

Hi,
just another note. I ran it without the config file so that all the settings are default. I tried to register with my info but the program refuses to recognise my name and code, even though I have copied and paste the data.

Can you try placing this dll in folder with wincmp: http://grigsoft.com/normaliz.zip ?
Also, can you send me such dll from your windows/system32 folder?

Hi Igor, I don't get the crash now. I have mailed you some more info and two test files because there still needs to be some work done if you can.

Thanks

Yes, I know there is place for improvement, because it doesn't work for your old samples either. Thank you anyway, additional testing files will surely help later.
