When I compare UTF-8 files and make modifications in them, they are then saved as Unicode (UTF-16) files. I would expect CompareIt! not to change the encoding.
Hmm, in fact it shouldn't. I will check this again; but could you make some small test files and send to me? Maybe I'm missing some encoding variations, because I have tested loading/saving in UTF8 before.
