So it gotta be some other software, driver, whatever it doesn't like. Can't be hardware, because I didn't change it and it SynchIt run nicely before. The weird thing is, that the crashes are random, and hence almost never occur in short scans, only in longer ones. I couldn't find any pattern at all....

That, plus it's the only tool I know which supports packages - and those I use on a daily basis, simply awesome!

Ok, got one again. I just compared two random folders in order to get it running for a while, which enhances the chances to get the crash. I got one after approx 10 sec. I took some screenshots of the first few windows of the error message. You can download the assembled file here: http://rapidshare...

I tried to copy paste it, but I couldn't select the message. I'll take a screenshot next time it crashed.

Crash of unknown reason

Hi, since a few weeks synchronize it! "encounters a problem and needs to close" every now and then. It does not always happen, trying several times in a row often makes the problem disappear (even though the folders were not changed). If it happens, the problem occurs while comparing the files, most...

Think that means you can focuss on Compare It! again... Gerrit Except the little bug when using a package as source, as described in Serious bug in comparing with package I know, it can be avoided by always using the package as target, but this is not a very obvious thing to do. If people don't kno...

That's affirmitive - using the package as target in combination with the 'synchronize' option it does what it's supposed to do. Thanks for the hint!

As a temporary solution: Might it work, if I manually removed all lines from the list that contain 1 0 0 (see quote from first post below)? Do you know any automatic method to do that? I know the search and replace function in Word, but I can't use it to look for certain characters in a line, and th...

It's already I while ago I did those, so I don't entirely remember. But I am sure I tried it both ways, using the package as target and as source, and I am pretty sure I also tried various other settings like "synchronize", "duplicate", "backup". "Include subfolders" was also checked, maybe with som...

In order to be able to use the package feature before a fix for this problem has been worked out, is it possible to use some kind of manual workaround? Would it, e.g. help to locate all entries with 1 0 0 in the list and remove them from the list? Would this trigger Synchronize it to delete the corr...

Serious bug in comparing with package

edit: I added an important edit (see red below) Hi, as you may know, I mainly use Synchronize It! to synchronize files on two different computers using the package feature. Now, I was wondering, while several folders still showed up on the target computer after multiple synchronization steps, althou...
