correct size & Date in package

I know the package thing is complicated, but slowly I start to comprehend how it works. Well, there's a thing which I found a little confusing. Example: I have a file named test.pdf on computer A and computer B. On computer B it's an old version: 19-12-2006, 1030 Byte. On computer A it's a newer ver...

"umlaute" in package files

I just stumbled over a small bug regarding package files, considering filenames with "Umlaute" and other non-usual letters: Such file names are stored correctly in the package (I checked list.txt), but then they are read from it wrongly. Example: file named zürich.jpg on computer A and computer B (i...

Package confusion

Hi again, not really a bug report, but it probably still best fits in here. Well, I've been using packages for a while to synchronize the computer at work with the one at home, which is very convenient. The way I've done it so far: 1) create package at home: Source = Folder, Target = Package -> dupl...

That's a good idea. Maybe you could also add an option to manually rename a folder / file from within Synchronize it! Sometimes it's obvious to the human eye, that the folders are not different folders rather just have a different name, whereas it may be more tricky for the AI to recognize that. So ...

Packages and compare by content

Hi again, this is not a real bug, but still might be addressed: I just learned about the package function and since then use it a lot - really great tool. However, I was kind of astonished when suddenly all the files in the packe seemed to be different from the ones in the target. Took me some momen...

That's nice to hear, you have already planned such a feature :). I didn't quite understand what will be possible and what won't be possible. So, normal identification of duplicates is not planned (and can easily be done by other software), but an algorithm that can detect renamed or moved files is p...

options that might fight generation of duplicates

Hi again and thank you very much for reading this forum so regularly, this is really superb support! I know that the find duplicate thing has already been discussed and that you have suggested to use other, specialized tools for this. Still, there are some cases where it would make sense to have Syn...

add 'Source' and 'Target' to explorer context menu

Hi, I really enjoy your products which make my daily live a lot easier! One little suggestion to make it even easier: If you have a lot of subfolders and complicated paths, it can be tedious to browse to your source and target folder within the program each time you want to compare them. Quite often...
