To keep it warm and to keep begging for it: please consider adding such a feature. I would even buy Synchronize it a second time if you incorporated "movement detection". An example to illustrate how useful it would be: Let's assume you have your fotos on your computer and a backup at a different lo...

I observed that the synchronization wouldn't stop and the package kept growing. It should have been 700 MB, but it got bigger and bigger and bigger. At 12 GB I aborted the process manually. So I assume it just kept adding itself in an infinite loop - but maybe there is another explanation for it. Be...

user bug with packages
As the subject suggests, this is rather a dumb user bug than a software bug: if you try to synchronize a folder with a package, that is stored in this folder, it will result in an infinite loop, until the drive is full, because it keeps adding the growing package to itself. It's kind of obvious, one...

Just wanted to reactivate this thread to move it upwards in the forum list and hopefully also in your planned features list. I think this would be an extremely useful feature to add, since moving and renaming files/folders is something that occurs on a daily basis and makes synchronization difficult...

I see, I didn't know that you can just add the name of the folder without the path, that's good to know, thanks for this hint! In terms of adding the full path, it would seem logical if an excluded folder is ignored, independent of whether it's the target or the source. But then again, maybe this is...

I just browse to the folder and choose it. So I guess it's full name, but I can check again when I am home. It's strange it behaves differently for you and me. Since I don't have "_archived items" anymore, I artificially created a similar setup, as described, and again it did it. Would you like me t...

Ok, I just tried, it's reproducable, but I am not sure whether it's a bug. It happens only, if both, the target and the source contain a folder of the same name but different content, and you exclude that folder, but only in the target and not in the source. When you exclude it from the source or fr...

I am also using NTSF links, but more for hardlinks than for junktions. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to integrate hardlinks into synchronize it. Too bad, but clearly microsoft's mistake, not grigsoft's. http://www.grigsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1320 edit: I just saw the description of ...

Exlude folders only in one direction?
This may either be a bug or a misunderstanding from my side: I try to synchronize my USB stick (A) with a folder on my hard drive (F). A contains a Folder (_Archived Items) which I don't want to be copied to F, so I added it to "exclude folders". When I know use Backup A to F, it works perfectly: al...

hard links
I learned to appreciate hard links recently. For example, I use them to create a "best of" subfolder in a picture folder, where I can keep hard links of the best pictures, without wasting space as real copies would. However, if I copy such a picture folder including the hard link folder to a differe...
