Thanks for your extremely rapid reply!
If I understand correctly I should ALWAYS use Registry in Vista rather than the INI file?
Will I still be able to backup my settings?

Problems saving sessions and projects
I'm tring Synchronize It 3.3.1499 on a new computer running Vista. When I installed I made sure I did not use the registry to save my settings. I can add new Sessions and Projects all I want. I make sure I click on the diskette button to save each new Session. But when I exit Synchronize it! and re-...

Export Settings and Configurations?
I'm sure there's some way to do this already... I just can't find it. I am using Synchronize It! 3.3 with settings saved to the Registry according to my installation. How can I export my settings and configurations and import them afterwards? I am going to be reformatting my computer and installing ...

Force copy or Force Backup
I use Synchronize It to backup files on several different computers and especially between my server, my desktop and my laptop. The problem always seems to arrive with Outlook .PST files which never seem to have the right date/time information. They sometimes are perceived as different and, more oft...

I installed the upgrade in exactly the same location as the previous versions. I did not change any options during the install. Use Registry Storage definitely was not ticked. My wndsync.ini file now only contains the sample projects. I do not have a wndsync.reg file anywhere on my disks. The progra...

Upgrade to 3.2 and all Sessions and Projects GONE
I just upgraded from version 3.1 to version 3.2.
All of my Sessions and Projects are gone. They have been replaced by the Default versions.
I have over 20 different sessions with some complicated options.
How can I get these back???

Backward incompatible = broken update
I must say that I completely disagree with this attitude towards upgrades. Software must be backward compatible. A new version should not break the previous version and the user should not have to adapt in order to use an upgrade. An upgrade should provide additional and better functions while maint...

Command line issues with Synch It v3.x
Ever since I upgraded to Synchronize It! version 3 my BAT files, which I use for my automatic backups, no longer work as they used to. I have gone through and changed the command line options in my BAT files but they are not the same. Previously I used: "C:\Program Files\Synchronize It!\winsin.exe" ...
