Unequal Files in Backup
Hi, it has caused me a lot of grief and time that unequal files are not being shown in backup mode. I think a lot of users may unwittingly do a backup procedure, thinking that files are equal now but they are not since unequal files are not copied if they are younger in source. I would suggest to ha...

Synching Soft Links
Hi Igor, SI does not copy the actual soft links from target to source but goes on to copy the files of the referred link. It would be nice to have a copy option so that soft links are actually copied and not the underlying files. This will avoid endless loops also, in case there is a soft link on th...

Dates of top folders are not copied correctly
Hi Igor,
when SI creates new top level folders on a target drive, the folders have todays date and not the date of the source.
Regards,
Brahman

Extend "Find File" functionality to folders
Hi Igor, it would be very useful, if you could extend the "Find File" functionality to folders also, since there does not seem to be a way to search for folders in the SI! preview window. The grand way of doing it would be à la Thunderbird: Have a Find Box and when you type the letters the display c...

Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl 2 (go to next folder) NumLock Off
Hi Igor, the Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl 2-[Numeric Block] or Ctrl 8-[Numeric Block] which makes cursor jump to the next/previous folder in preview window works only when NumLock is OFF, so it should actually be the up and down keys on numblock unless you change it (which IMHO is probably best). But I al...

Can SI clone a system partition with the help of XXClone?
Hi Igor, today I am very curious. :) Therefore my next question: I want to synch an XP system partition with another drive: F.e. c: with f: (F: being the empty NTFS first partition on another drive, set as active primary). "Copy NTFS permissions" in options is checked. After the synch I plan to use ...

How does SI handle copy scenar and corrupt files internally?
Hi Igor, :) could you tell us how SI handles corrupt files internally? Can we have more options/parameters on this, f.e. how many times SI tries to read a corrupt file and to f.e. skip the file immediately if there is a problem and not trying to copy and then when we synch again on the problem files...

Parent Directory Does Not Show in Preview
Hi Igor, If f.e. one wants to synch drive e: with drive h: (which is empty) and drive e: has a folder named trial and many subfolders but no file in the folder "trial" itself (only in the subfolders), then trial folder by itself does not show in the preview window and it is not possible to disable s...

Yes, that's probably even better. How will you add it? I was thinking a global option would be best, since in the middle of a big project - when you need this feature - you don't want to fiddle and go back to individual jobs to switch it on. It would also be nice to be able to switch it on from by r...
