Partial matching moved sections

This version of Compare It! includes experimental Partial matching engine. It can be used to visually align similar, but non-matching lines, simplifying differences review.

However such matching could take a long time, especially for large differences blocks, so it is automatically applied only for small (10 lines or less) sections. You can manually invoke partial matching analysis by pressing F4 key, or by choosing Merge > Partial matching menu item.

If you find this feature useful, you can set an option to automatically apply Partial matching to whole file in Options > Comparison. Note that enabling this feature can increase comparison time up to 30% on some files.

Ignoring line wraps

Another function, similar to partial matching, is an ability to ignore line wraps.

Sometimes for better handling of long lines you can manually wrap it to several lines in your new file version. Compare It! can ignore such changes, if you have selected appropriate option in Options > Comparison.
