File Drop zone

Post by JPG »

Hi Igor, I am using Vista, 32bit. I cannot get the indicated function to work, to allow me to drop files in this area and it work. I see the mouse cursor change when I go over the area and release, but nothing happens.

I have got this to work now, by not running as admin, but I was sure that this was the only way to get options to save that had been set in the program as it will try to write to the Programs folder.

For Vista the ini file should surely go to Progam Data folder?

In fact in vista using registry is recommended. Which CompareIt version are you using?

If I use the registry, how can I backup the info?

That Export\Import feature should work. But it would not fit for auto-backup. Your version should in fact place ini file in another location, in Users data.
