Ability to change the pane width of "Configure it!"

The "Configure it!" dialog (which could be evoked by pressing F6) has two panes. The left one contains just the list of modes names. The right pane contains, amongst others, directories. When I increase the dialog window width, only the left pane width is increased accordingly. This behaviour has no practical use, well, at least it's useless for me. It would be nice to be able to adjust the left pane width, so that long source and destination directory names can be displayed totally.
And I hope this is available as an update to 2.82, thus without having to wait for the release of version 3.
