It would be handy if the current word under the cursor (including underscores) is suggested when doing a "Find". Of course, previous values used (not suggested) would still be available via a down arrow, just as they are currently.

Doesn't this work? Use Ctrl+F3, it took word under cursor and search for it.

I guess it does.
I have always been using Ctrl-F.
I didn't know about Ctrl-F3 - its not in Edit menu.

Thanks!

Not to sound greedy, but I don't suppose you have any other useful hotkeys without menu items? ;-)

:D
Well, most of them should be listed in appropriate help section. Or see it here: http://www.grigsoft.com/wincmp3/help/so ... rtcuts.htm

I guess few could still be hidden, I will try to reveal them.

"Changes Only" on toolbar and default on startup

I use CompareIt to make decisions about what I should type for version control comments and for release notes.

For this I use "Changes Only" every time.

Please put "Changes Only" on toolbar (it already has a toolbar graphic in the menu)

Also, please allow an option to default to "Changes Only" on startup, or leave it in the last "Changes Only" mode.

Thanks,

Fred

Please note, that you can modify toolbar by using Options/Toolbar menu
command.
I will also add option to make ChangesOnly mode sticky.

hi,

Comparing remote files will be useful. Will secure ftp (SFTP) be available ?

Thanks

Well, I was thinking of implementing some way of adding external plugins to handle files similary to what CompareIt! does with zip files. In this case by using syntax like ftps://.../myfile.dat it could invole some external tool to get a local file copy.

Is it possible that in RE when "ignore lines not matching R1" is used that the lines that are ignored are removed from the screen? This should be (ofcouse) an option that can be choosen (enable / disable).

Now I use "view changes only" but with this function the lines that are not ignored and are the same in the source and target file also disappear from the screen.

Thanks,

Ahmet.

Binary comparison is planned. What kind of differences saving do you want? Have you checked reports feature? THere is an option to generate standard diff report.

Thanks. The report is great. I'm waiting for the binary compare feature :)))

Do you have any plans for a Mac or Linux version of your tools?

I would be very interested, especially in a Mac version of WinSync - I have not found anything comparable.

Thanks...
