Remember window size based on screen resolution

Postby smercer » Thu Mar 11, 2010 3:12 pm

I have a computer with two monitors and I like to have CompareIt set up to go across both monitors so that both of the files I'm diff'ing get a full screen. But frequently I use remote desktop to log into my computer and when I do a diff there, I have to shrink the windows down. CompareIt remembers the window size that you last used when you do your next diff. I wish that it would remember window size per resolution. Thus it would remember "when I have two monitors, the last used size is X, but over the remote desktop resolution, the last used size is Y."

You could log in with a different user-id when on the RDP connection, so there are separate user-local settings stored. If you organize both your user-id's in the same group they easily have the same access rights.

Just a thought...

Well, the idea does make sense actually. I will add this to wish list and try to implement.
