It would be very helpful to have the option to display indicators that there are differences in this line that are not visible on the screen at this time.
This would be meant for lines that don't fit entirely on the screen. It eliminates needless scrolling horizontally just to find there were no other differences in this line.
A suggestion for indicators would be a left and right arrow head, of suitable color or shading to identify it as an indicator and not part of the text.
It would reduce the visible text by upto 4 characters total, depending on where they were displayed ... maybe by just 2 characters, one at each right margin, if the left margin indicators are placed in one of the special field areas.
An unrelated minor suggestion is to move the bookmark notation to highlight the line number (if turned on) to avoid overlaying manual match markers and bookmarks.
