Regular expressions as converter

Post by EeOe »

I would love to see regular expressions as separate or build-in converter.

Do you mean an ability to actually change file content before comparison?

Yeah... Without modifying the original file like the other convertters do.

Sometimes there is just too much info on the screen to see the differences efficiently. It would be nice to strip out all the useless content by using regular expressions rules. :)

This is not a big problem really, but it will disable further merging and saving of modified files.

I also support the request for a regular expressions converter.
The results could help the user to fine-tune the regular expression, especially if Compare It! could display the converted material in real time before saving it.
