"Ignore nothing" at line level only
Hello, In "Compare It!", the comparison is made on two levels: at file level for finding matching lines, and at line level for finding matching characters. For these comparisons, there is an option for comparing while ignoring spaces, character cases, etc. There is also an option to quickly switch t...

Strange bug in "Customize" -> "Tools"
I use to define a custom tool in Synchronize It!, among others, allowing to open the active file's containing folder (which would be a nice feature if it was fully integrated as I use this tremendously often, but this is another subject) . The custom tool is implemented using " C:\WINDOWS\explorer.e...

Import without merging
Hello, Is there any way to import configuration (from a *.ini export file) on Synchronize It! or Compare It! without keeping anything from the previous configuration ? Especially on Synchronize It!, this merges sessions with the previously existing ones, which is not necessarily what I want. I tried...

What happens to bundle installs?
Hello, I would like to know what happens to bundle installs since several versions updates? Many recent Compare It! versions (for example 4.2) seems to be available only as standalone and not as bundles. This is not the same thing as standalone versions do not use the same directory name for install...

Re: PDF comparison as binary
I am currently using 4.1.2171.JPG wrote:Hi,
I have tried this with the current released build 4.1.2171 and the latest beta 4.2.0.2204 and there is a different result. Perhaps you should both agree on what build it is you are using.
Actually, I don't even know how I could get latest beta 4.2.0.2204.

Re: PDF comparison as binary
And how should I do that?grigsoft wrote:Well, it seems that you are viewing converted text as binary. Try switching to plain text first.
(I was using Menu "View" -> "View as" -> "Binary", what else can I do ?)
Using "View" -> "View as" -> "Text" first doesn't change anything.

Re: PDF comparison as binary
Well, in my tests it actually displays file as same, but only if showing extracted text. When comparing as plain text, or in binary mode (View>ViewAs>Binary) it displays differences. Can you make a screenshot of your case? Ok, here is the screenshot. I set it with horizontal panes for allowing small...

PDF comparison as binary
Hello, Please could you tell me why the two following files are reported as identical by Compare It! ( 4.1 ), even if compared as binary , whereas they are obviously different (by just looking to their respective lengths)? FilesToCompare.zip It looks like that, when switching to binary comparison (u...

Re: Replace left/right file … and quit ?
In fact in confirmation dialog for Replace file command you can select whether to quit an app. Or did I understand you wrong? Yes, I'm sorry. I just realized that I can choose this in the confirmation dialog, either I've completely missed it for a long time, either it is new (but I can't see this i...

Replace left/right file … and quit ?
Hello, In the “File” menu, there is a command which is named “Replace right file” or “Replace left file” (according to which pane is currently selected). When you select it, the content of the opposite file is replaced by the content of the current file, and then the application quit. It seems logic...

Ability to hide differences by category
Hello, Currently, when comparing files, differences are colorized on three ways : Green for lines that exists in source file and not in destination file (expected to be added) Red for lines that exists in destination files and not in source file (expected to be deleted) Blue for lines that are chang...

Tab size customization
Hello, I just want to make a small suggestion that I think it could be useful. Would it be possible to have the tab size option (Options -> Editor) customizable differently according to what you are comparing ? For example having different values of this options saved, either associated with file fi...

I have answered by email, but in case somebody else will have similar problem - try moving your file filter to the top of the list. If coloring will start working, check your filters - some filters may have * or similar which matches all files. I will make program to detect this. Thank you very muc...

It does work for me. Do you have syntax enabled at View>EnableSyntax? Yes, it is enabled. See picture. http://gingko.homeip.net/misc/enable_syntax.gif Also, try moving syntax file to another folder - maybe there is some problem with reading file from it's current location. I put them into the speci...
