Great news! I'm not sure what you mean by "zoomed out during file search", but I don't especially like BC's initial dialog.
I'd prefer it as part of the main window.
Let me know if you need a beta tester.

New UI?
Any plans for a new user interface? Specifically, a single window as is used by Beyond Compare? What I really appereciate about their UI are:
1. Toolbar buttons for both comparison and display filters.
2. Toolbar button which removes filters and shows all files.
